I’m a 32-year-old, 6th generation, father of 3, who together with wife, Rachel, attend Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
rooted in lumpkin
Lifelong Republican, local business owner, cattle-farmer, community leader & 3 term Lumpkin Co. Commissioner.
We are invested in our community with multiple businesses.
We want our community to be able to offer our kids the best opportunities to live, work and raise their own families.
leadership for lumpkin
I’m a small business owner. I live off what’s left over after all expenses are paid. I know how to stretch a dollar and determine needs versus wants.
Likewise, government must live within their means. Government must do more with less.
I will be a chairman that’s in the ditches, not just the boardroom. To know what’s truly going on, you have to be involved in the community. The boardroom is where policies and contracts are formalized. The ditches are where you learn first hand, what should be addressed or changed and see how current policies are working.
Property taxes should never price people out of their homes or out of our county. We must work with state partners to find alternative revenue sources instead of being so dependent on property taxes.
County employees should perform at a high standard and be paid fairly. Customer service for you, the taxpayer, is a top priority.
Dahlonega and Lumpkin County’s fates are tied together. I will work to renew and re-establish an excellent relationship with the mayor and city council..
I believe in preserving and protecting Lumpkin County while balancing the rights of homeowners and property owners.
I want our children to be able to grow up in the same type of rural county that I grew up in, that my father and grandfather before me grew up in.
I’m not a politician.
I say what I mean and mean what I say. I was raised on the saying “let your word be your bond” and you don’t go back on it.
I'm not going to change my values and convictions just to be elected.
